Employment with DEW
At DEW, we employ the broadest range of staff imaginable. Fire ecologists, accountants, marine researchers, financial analysts, rangers, horticulturalists and IT specialists - all these professionals and many more find their place with us. The locations we work in are as diverse as the people who work here.
Our diverse workforce reflects the broader South Australian community and the customers we serve. It helps us to generate new ideas and ways of delivering our services.
Flexible working arrangements, a range of learning and development opportunities and excellent salary and leave entitlements are just some of the advantages available to our staff.
DEW is committed to women having an equal share of leadership across all levels. Watch our video to see what leadership looks like in DEW, and join us if you want to work in an organisation that allows you to unleash your potential and embrace your unique leadership qualities.

Volunteering with DEW
Are you passionate about the environment or built heritage? Do you love working outdoors? As a DEW volunteer you can help to conserve the natural environment, or a heritage site, for future generations and feel great while you're doing it.
We have more than 6000 volunteers caring for our parks, gardens and reserves. Every year these dedicated people donate around 20,000 days of work. Many of these volunteers are associated with a park that holds some personal significance to them or to their community.
There are over 140 Friends of parks groups aligned with various parks throughout the state.
If you would like to discuss upcoming volunteer projects or register your interest in becoming a volunteer, we can help you to find an activity that works for you.
