Work experience
Depending on availability, DEW offers unpaid work experience where you can learn about the fundamentals of a particular job or work environment. Work experience placements are part of a program that is formally integrated into secondary or post-secondary education.
Being offered a placement depends on available opportunities, but also any experience you may have had and your aptitude for the role. Work experience applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis, usually by the manager of the relevant work area.
