Explore modern art in the beauty of the garden
Want to explore contemporary art in the tranquility of the garden? We have just the event for you!
The much-anticipated Chihuly in the Botanic Garden has arrived at Adelaide Botanic Garden!
From 27 September 2024 through to 29 April 2025, make your way to the beautiful landscapes of Adelaide’s beloved Garden to experience the 15 large-scale, hand-blown sculptures by the world’s most celebrated contemporary glass artist, Dale Chihuly.
The Australian-first exhibition will also feature two brand new artworks, created specifically for Adelaide Botanic Garden – the Glacier Ice and Lapis Chandelier in the iconic, heritage-listed Palm House, and the Jet and Crimson Fiori in the Bicentennial Conservatory.
As art and nature combine, daytime visitors to the Garden will be able to enjoy the outdoor experience free of charge, but there are also ticketed opportunities.
In Full Colour: Dale Chihuly – open daily within the Bicentennial Conservatory - is a more intimate exhibition which explores Chihuly’s life and work.
Chihuly Nights – on Thursday to Saturday nights - allows you to experience the dramatically lit artworks in a mesmerising way, enjoy live music, food, and drink – a great night to spend with friends!
