Immersive trail information coming soon
Work is currently underway to share cultural stories of the area, information about things to see and helpful hints for those walking along the Wild South Coast Way on the Heysen Trail.
These stories will be available via a SA National Parks Tours App, which will be available for download by walkers prior to their departure.
Walkers will be able to listen to audio from Ramindjeri Elder Mark Koolmatrie and his friends, who detail the traditional camp life and the First Nations creation stories that unfold along the trail. Local park rangers will also reveal their favourite spots to visit and the plants and animals that are visible along the trail.
For an even deeper connection with Ruwi (Country), walkers will be able to tap into the daily Ramindjeri field guide who’ll conduct campground meditations.
