Latest River Murray flow info now accessible in one easy location
New inundation maps and a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions have been created as part of dedicated webpage on the highest River Murray flows in almost 50 years.
Flood awareness, infrastructure and projected flow maps allow residents to look at potential inundation and check if their property is likely to be affected.
The new page on the Department for Environment and Water (DEW) website also includes FAQs that aim to address community questions and concerns.
Latest modelling predicts river flows of up to 120 gigalitres a day – the highest since 1975, when flows reached 160GL a day – into South Australia by early December.
Government technical officers are currently in the Riverland working with council and landowners to review levee banks and take necessary action to ensure their integrity before the peak flows arrive.
