Native Vegetation Heritage Agreement Grant Program

The Minister for Climate, Environment and Water, Dr Susan Close and the Native Vegetation Council invites you to get involved in the Native Vegetation Heritage Agreement (NVHA) Grant Program. The program provides increased support to landowners to enhance biodiversity on their properties and build resilience to climate change.

The NVHA Grant Program is delivered by the Native Vegetation Branch with support from officers in the Eyre Peninsula, Limestone Coast and Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Boards.

Since the program launch 30 March 2023, there has been an amazing response across the state and grant funding to support existing Heritage Agreement owners has been allocated. However, the program can still assist and support Heritage Agreement owners by:

  • conducting site visits and providing land management advice
  • developing works plans which can be used to apply for grant funding from other sources
  • improving skill and knowledge through training and networking events, including cultural awareness

To access support and training, please submit an Expression of Interest and an Officer will be in touch to discuss your site and what support could be available for you.

To find out more about the NVHA Grant Program please read the Native Vegetation Heritage Agreement Grant Guideline.

If you are interested in a new Heritage Agreement or wanting to expand an existing Heritage Agreement, the Native Vegetation Council are offering landowners the opportunity to apply for an Incentive Grant. For further information, please visit the Heritage Agreement page
