Environmental projects
A number of environmental projects are underway to improve environmental outcomes for the River Murray and its wetlands and floodplains, and to provide a secure, good quality water supply.

Riverland projects
- The Living Murray: Chowilla Floodplain Icon Site
- South Australian Riverland Floodplains Integrated Infrastructure Program (SARFIIP) focussed on:
- Katarapko Floodplain in the River Murray National Park near Berri
- Pike Floodplain near Paringa and Renmark in the Riverland
- Salinity management measures
- Environmental Pathways Project - Master Plans Project (Bookmark Creek and Lock 3)
- Riverine Recovery Project addressing the health and sustainability of wetlands and floodplains along the river
- Weir pool raising and lowering

Coorong, Lower Lakes and Murray Mouth projects
- Coorong, Lower Lakes and Murray Mouth Recovery (CLLMM) Recovery Project which includes restoration of the Coorong, Lake Alexandrina, Lake Albert and the Murray Mouth
