Murray River National Park, which boasts some of the state’s most stunning and unique natural environments, is being celebrated as the National Parks and Wildlife Service May Park of the Month.

The Australian Government has committed $17 million for a new project to improve shorebird and wetland habitat across South Australia's Coorong, Lower Lakes, Murray Mouth and South East landscape.

The Living Murray has cemented its place as one of Australia’s most significant restoration programs but even after 20 years, it shows no signs of slowing down.

Vital wetland habitat will be restored at a significant cultural and ecological site in the Lower Lakes as part of a $4 million investment by the Australian Government and the Government of South Australia.
