New data shows the predicted River Murray flow levels into South Australia have increased to at least 175 gigalitres per day by December due to ongoing rain throughout the Murray Darling Basin in the past week.
The State Government has again revised up predicted River Murray flows with new data showing that at least 165 gigalitres a day is now expected to flow down the river in South Australia from early December, similar to the 1975 flood levels.
River Murray peak flow projections have again increased to at least 150 gigalitres a day based on new advice provided to the State Government.
The latest advice received by the Government is that the River Murray peak flow projection remains at 135 gigalitres (GL) per day, however the duration of the high flow event is likely to be longer than initially expected.
